James and Amanda Rock and Roll Wedding April 2018
Well that was a weekend to remember, as we celebrated the wedding of our good friends James and Amanda at the Loch Ness Country House Hotel in Inverness. it was great to meet up with so many of our band buddies, as well as family and friends of the happy couple.
It was an honour to be asked not only to design and create the wedding flowers, but to attend the wedding itself in the presence of so many good people.
The wedding archway was a bit of an attraction and was utilised to the full. First of all being the center of attraction at the wedding vows. It was then repositioned and had the seating plans displayed on some of James's favorite vinyl records, hung from the archway.
Once everyone was seated the vinyl was removed and the archway became a point for the obligatory selfie.
The happy couple were serenaded down the aisle by Keith and Stu of the band Xander and the Peace Pirates, who had played the pervious night in Aberdeen music venue The Lemon Tree.
A great evening was had by all with further tunes by Xander and the Peace Pirates interluded by a disco with a good mix of pop and rock music to meet all music tastes.
The rendition of Princes Purple rain which saw a sing along rock and roll circle form on the dance floor will remain in the memory for a very long time.
I know we will meet up with Mrs and Mrs Smith in the not too distant future at a music venue somewhere across the country.
